Booking Conditions
Cancellation
48hrs notice must be given to change or cancel a general court / pitch hire booking. An alternative date will be provided or a credit given to be used within six months.
For bookings of more than six hours or equivalent (E.g: 1 court for 6 hours or 2 courts for 3 hours) then the following notice must be provided:
- 6hrs+ requires 1 weeks notice
- 12hrs+ requires 2 weeks notice
- 18hrs+ requires 4 weeks notice
Bad weather
Bookings can go ahead in almost any UK weather conditions and most people tend to play on even if it is raining. If you have booked a taster, party or other session our coaches are always up for playing in the rain. If however you do wish to cancel due to bad weather then please contact the venue on the day to check the forecast. The weather can change rapidly so we generally accept cancellations up to an hour before the booking. If your booking is cancelled you will be offered an alternative date or a credit.
Yellowave will accept cancellations in the following weather:
- Heavy persistent rain
- Gale force winds
- Heavy snow ~ Hard ice
It is a requirement of the company to stop play during thunder and lightning. The Yellowave team has the final decision on cancellations.
Weekend classes
Raining on a Saturday or Sunday morning? Come rain or shine we will always run the Saturday and Sunday morning coached classes. So bring a change of clothes and come and have some fun. Remember we have hot showers and changing rooms. As with court bookings 48 hours notice is required if you wish to cancel your class. Unfortunately, we cannot offer a credit for less than the 48 hour notice even if you are ill or cannot make it. If it is pouring with rain and gale force winds and you really don’t wish to play then call us on the day and we will offer you a credit.
Safety
Yellowave will do its upmost to ensure playing surfaces are safe for players to play on and environments are safe. However, there is a limit to how safe we can make a playing environment, therefore it is the responsibility of the player to also be vigilant for harmful objects and other potential risks. Players must also play in a manner that has an awareness for their own and other safety. Any risks must be reported immediately to Yellowave.
